Answer: Breast reduction would be helpful Thank you for your question. It sounds like you would be a good candidate for breast reduction. Generally this is covered by insurance, but can vary between companies. Best to get an in-person consultation by a board certified plastic surgery. Good luck.

Answer: I think you should Your description sounds like someone who would benefit from breast reduction surgery. Upper back, neck, and shoulder pain are very typical symptoms in someone with disproportionately large breasts. In order to answer the question of insurance coverage you will need to be evaluated by a plastic surgeon who will discuss your symptoms, examine you, estimate how much breast tissue (as measured in grams) will be removed, and put this information in a letter to your insurance company to determine before the operation if it will be a covered procedure. If you are trying to decide if you want to go through with this operation just ask anyone who's had one. Breast reduction patients are some of the happiest patients I see. They get tremendous physical benefit as well as an improvement in their appearance- very few surgical procedures of any kind do this. I urge you to look into it!

Answer: Bra size 30F-should I get a breast reduction? Thank you for your question. Many women with an overly-large breast volume can experience upper neck and back pain. This is called symptomatic breast hypertrophy, and is the most common indication for breast reduction surgery. Although breast reduction is not a cure for all forms of back/neck pain, many women achieve relief of these symptoms with a smaller and higher breast position. Insurance plans differ with regard to requirements for breast reduction, and pre-operative approval. Your plastic surgeon's office staff can assist you in explaining your particular plan coverage and its requirements. As always, the best place to begin is with a complete consultation with an experienced plastic surgeon in your area. I wish you all the best.
