I thought that going from red to blonde to purple(ish) back to blonde was a good idea. I've recently started having my hair fall out at a rapid pace each day. Is my answer as simple as stop dyeing my hair or does that process cause enough damage to warrant a transplant?
Answer: You Need An Exam You need an exam by a doctor. Hair loss from dyeing your hair may be from a chemical "burn". Hair loss in general (for men) is genetic and it really has nothing to do with a normal dyeing of hair. The best course of action is have a good diagnosis and a physical exam. Hair transplant may not always be an answer.

Answer: Hair loss due to hair dyeing? Usually chemical burns affect the hair and not the root however if there was permanent damage then a transplant would be warranted in that situation.

Answer: Hair Loss From Hair Dyeing Harsh chemicals from styling products like hair dyes can certainly cause damage to the shaft, especially when done on an ongoing basis. This can result in breakage, which is most likely what you are experiencing. However, this is probably temporary unless the skin breakage occurred from the chemicals. Permanent forms of hair loss are caused by damage at the level of the hair follicle. If a person, is genetically predisposed to pattern baldness, the follicle will shrink due to the interference of nutritional absorption caused by a testosterone byproduct known as DHT. Also, with traction alopecia, permanent hair loss results from tight hair styles, including the weight of extensions. Constant pulling will tear the follicles. In your case, it would be best to refrain from dying your hair and allow new healthy growth to take place.

Answer: Damaging hair Excessive dyeing of the hair and drying certainly will cause damage to the hair shaft. If you could imagine your hair as a live plant constantly being beaten and by bad weather and excessive wind in your hair is no different. It will certainly damage the hair shaft almost like a slight burn and it will lose its luster and texture.if possible try to minimize your regimen as much as possible! This may not be directly related to your chief complaint of hair loss which may be a completely separate issue which can easily be assessed by a good proper examination.Try to be kind and gentle to your hair as much as possible and avoid extreme heat and manipulation and frequent dyeing. You may also want to consider taking some hair supplements to improve the quality of your hair.
