As you can see I'm still very discoloured and the pores on my chin are still open. Not to mention the acne. Do I need to see a specialist? I had the procedure abroad and the surgeon is recommending Retin-A. Surely by now I should be back to my normal skin colour?
Answer: Start with your doctor Maybe you should start by following up with your surgeon first. Then a specialist if your doctor cannot help you. The Internet route may leave you more confused with possible conflicting answers and a possible delay in treatment.Redness after surgery can persist for several weeks. Answer: Redness 7 weeks after a facia hair transplant procedure It is not uncommon for transplants on the face to look red for a few weeks after. Particularly in patients with a very fair complexion as you. However, I would consult a dermatologist in your area, as the area behind your lip and chin looks like it is swollen. Treatment may be indicated.

Answer: 7 week after beard transplant and I am still red On rare occasions, redness may persist after any transplant. The patients who have this happen are often people who hold redness for a long time after any wound is made. Sometimes this can be anticipated, by performing a simple test, the 'scratch test' where you use your fingernail and press it against your forehead, moving it sideways with enough pressure to make a scratch (not a cut) on the skin. If the skin shows a red scratch in 2-3 minutes, we consider the test positive and for those patients with a positive scratch test, persistent redness is common. Most people test negative to the scratch test.See your doctor and make sure that there is no silent infection in the graft site. If it is safe, he can treat the redness with specific topical medications that will reduce the redness.
