Facial fillers for a round face, will it accentuate the problem? (photos)

A combination approach will provide a youthful, well-balanced shape to your face. In order to create balance I would recommend dermal fillers to the cheek and under-eye areas. The lower cheeks can be slimmed with a small procedure to remove the buccal fat pads and this will make your face look slimmer. Lastly, I recommend a chin implant or genioplasty to make your chin more prominent and simultaneous liposuction of the jawline. When the chin is in balance the face has a more youthful heart shape. These procedures can accomplished in the office simultaneously. 

Under eye filler should not make cheeks fuller as long as they are actually injected in the hollow under eye area and not in the cheeks.

These fillers (belotero, volbella, restylane silk) are good for under the eye, but keep in mind, a combination approach will give the most improvement. Fillers, lasers, and microneedling/PRP can improve under the eyes. My patients try to get non surgical treatments to avoid surgery. We use PRP and stem cells there often. Using hyaluronic acid based fillers injected into the undereye area will brighten your appearance, giving you a rejuvenated and refreshed look. In my practice we also perform a nonsurgical chin augmentation using fillers in patients who desire more definition,  balance and symmetry. An experienced injector will not cause you to look round or heavy, and instead will only accentuate your features. Several treatments will improve your overall facial dimensions and improve facial shape without accentuating roundness.  Firstly, either fillers in the chin or a chin implant will tremendously improve your jawline.  Secondly, fillers in the lateral jaw angles will help with facial shape and definition.  I would also consider a neck-tightening procedure to improve lower face and neck contours.  I use Renuvion/J-Plasma for this with excellent results.  Fillers in the lateral cheek will help with mid-face shape and definition.  Under-eye filler, when done properly, will not accentuate the cheek.

Thanks for sharing your photos and question. Filler injected into the tear troughs will not change your cheekbones as long as the cheeks are not also injected. I do think you have volume loss in the temples and midface which would respond nicely to treated with Sculptra or a hyaluronic acid based filler like Restylane or Restylane Lyft. Restylane Lyft could also be injected into the chin to improve chin projection and definition. Strategically placed fillers by an experienced injector should not make your face look heavier or rounder. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Under eye filler will not make your face look more round. Tear trough filler will improve the appearance under the eye by filling out the hollowness. Chin augmentation also will not make the face look rounder. It will make your face appear more balanced, especially improving the profile view of the face (from the side). I would recommend a consultation with a professional, good luck! 

I think you should rely on the expertise of your individual injector for what they would recommend you have done. However, in general, filler under your eyes should not make your face look more round. filler in the jowls and in the nasolabial folds can however give a more rounded appearance to your face. Again, the injector will be the one deciding exactly where to place the product and have the ability to predict the final outcome.
