When I pull my skin upwards and diagonally by my upper cheeks & upper ears, my cheeks lift up and my eye bags improve tremendously. This makes me wonder if a lower eyelid blepharoplasty can lift the upper cheeks at the same time?
Answer: Lower blepharoplasty and midface lifting The objective of the lower blepharoplasty surgery is to remove lower fat bags and this is usually accomplished through a transconjunctival incision. The lower eyelid skin and anatomy is no match for the weight and pull of the cheek. An attempt to "hang the cheek" on the lower eyelid may result in a condition called ectropion. A separate procedure to lift the midface will eliminate this potential problem and provide as much lifting as needed. Both procedures can be accomplished at the same time.

Answer: Role of lower eyelid blepharoplasty Role of lower eyelid blepharoplastyThanks for the question. The major goal of a lower eyelid blepharoplasty is to remove excess fat tissue to create a smooth outline of the under eye skin region and to get rid of the puffiness. A combination of mid face lift and lower eyelid blepharoplasty can aid in lifting the upper region of the cheeks. In case you have hollowness in the mid face region, cheek implants can be beneficial to enhance volume in this region. I would recommend you to consult an experienced facial plastic surgeon to have a personalized evaluation, discuss your aesthetic goals in detail and further explore your treatment options.I hope this helps.
