Can an eye massager device dissolve Restylane and soft fillers like Belotero hydro?

Question

I just got restylane in the eye area (hollows) for dark circles and belotero hydro in the eye area as well including some little wrinkles. I have the Foreo Iris eye massager device that have sonic movements, can this device dissolve my fillers?

Thank you for sharing your question. If the device physically pushes on the treated area, then it could disperse the filler. If there is just a sound wave, then it is not likely to effect the results.Good luck,

Thank you for your question.It is unlikely that it will dissolve the filler but it may help redistribute it and make it look better.You can dissolve the product with hyaluronidase.

Hi Tesla.  It's not likely that the device you are speaking about would dissolve fillers, but if the device is used to soon after the injections, it's possible that the product may move.  Once we place the product (we often massage in the treatment room), we don't want patients to press, push or otherwise try to move it.  If your device was being used within the first 48 - 72 hours after treatment, it's possible that you could be affecting placement.  Outside that time, it's much less likely that it is having an effect.  To see examples of Restylane tear trough before and after photos, click on the link below.

The device you describe probably cannot dissolve the filler by I wouldn’t use it for a few days after the treatment, as it may shift the filler (still pretty unlikely). Under eye filler should be placed deep (pre-periosteal) so it is unlikely this massager can penetrate that deep to affect it in the long run

No, it is unlikely that this device will negatively impact your results. Keep in mind, a combination approach is needed for under the eyes. I recommend fillers with lasers and microneedling/prp. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
