How often/is it possible for under eye filler (restylane) to move from its original spot?

It's unlikely that Restylane will migrate. Also, swelling can be typical following tear trough injections. It can take 1-2 weeks for final results. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.

It is unlikely that the filler will migrate. Keep in mind, it will take 1-2 weeks for final results and a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement under the eyes. I recommend fillers with lasers and microneedling/prp. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

I have been injecting fillers under the eyes for over three decades, since the early days with the use of the original Zyderm collagen for this purpose. Nowadays, while we have much more sophisticated and elegant fillers for these purposes, such as Restylane Silk, Belotero Balance, Teosyal Redensity II, Aliaxin FL, etc., I have not as yet encountered a single episode in all these years of filler migration, which, if it occurs at all, must be extremely rare.  So, relax and enjoy your results. I agree with my colleagues that eyelid filler migration is uncommon.  The filler and a little massage simply are not able to dissect out a new plane in the soft tissue.  Rest assured, the results can be uniform and long lasting

Fillers under the eyes tend to stay where they are. Significant migration is really uncommon.

Thank you for your question. There is no need to worry as filler placed under the eyes does not migrate. Fillers stay in the site where they are injected. Please remember that it common to have some swelling after filler injections for up to 2 weeks after injection. I recommend addressing any concerns you may have with your injector. Best of Luck!

Under eye filler does not migrate (fillers as a rule stay in the site where they’re injected), so if you are happy with your results, you can rest easy that they will stay looking beautiful until your next treatment. Some fillers- Restylane is one of them- absorb water to some degree and may make delicate areas such as the eyelid zone look more puffy than desired. Please make sure a board certified plastic surgeon is either performing your procedure or directly supervising your trained injector to ensure proper product and technique are being used.

Filler once placed will not move unless forcefully pushed on within the first few days.  Best of luck with your filler.

Under eye filler, like Restylane and Belotero, does not migrate from the orbital rim; however, it is a very technically demanding procedure. It is steadily increasing in popularity, because it performed in the office and produces natural results.
