Can I do Emsculpt if I want to get pregnant in a few months?

Thank you for your question! There is no contraindication to receiving Emsculpt treatments prior to becoming pregnant. This treatment is strictly contracting the abdominal muscles and will cause no harm to your ovaries. Emsculpt will help to strengthen you abdominal muscles which will be beneficial both during and after your pregnancy.

Hi einna117,Yes, Emsculpt is completely safe if you are planning to get preggo in the next few months.  The electromagnetic wave energy of Emsculpt causes the nerves of muscles to be stimulated which in turn causes the abdominal and glutteal muscles to contract supra-maximally.  Fortunately, organs such as the uterus, ovaries, and fallopian tubes do not have muscles that are stimulated by Emsculpt energy.  Good luck with your future plans and be well.Dr. PEncino, CA

However, I'd probably counsel you to postpone the treatments until after you have had your baby (and wait a few months after delivery). This will give you the best value and safety. Best wishes

EMSCULPT is extremely safe, like an MRI, and will not affect the ovaries if you are planning to get pregnant in the near or distant future.  Emsculpt will not damage your ovaries or internal organs, and therefore there is no contraindication for you to use Emsculpt at this time.   The electromagnetic energy causes supramaximal contractions in the abdomen or glutes- this will not affect your ovaries.  You should complete all four treatments with Emsculpt prior to you and your partner trying to conceive.   Emsculpt is contraindicated during pregnancy, but having four treatments with Emsculpt prior to pregnancy may help to maintain abdominal wall strength during and after the pregnancy.   Best of luck to you!

There are no contraindications for Emsculpt prior to getting pregnant as long as you make sure you complete the procedure prior to attempting to get pregnant.  As always, it's important to have an in person consult.

The treatment targets the muscles of the abdomen, so the electromagnetic energy does not effect ovaries. In fact, strengthening abdominal muscles prior to pregnancy should help combat the stretching of those muscles that occurs during pregnancy. Emsculpt is also beneficial following birth to restore muscle strength and repair diastasis recti (separation of abdominal muscles). As always, consult an expert prior to any treatment.

Yes, you are completely safe to do a series of EMSculpt procedures before pregnancy. In fact, it will help you maintain your abdominal wall strength and I would predict that you will be less prone to the abdominal wall laxity that sometimes follows a pregnancy.
