I want to have more space on my eye lid for eye make up and to give my eye s more awake look, and even slightly bigger eyes If that is possible. but I am wondering if I have a blepharoplasty or a brow lift young does that mean when I get older my and my eyelid starts to sag and droop I won’t be able to have another blepharoplasty to correct it ? And in the long turn would having one young make my eyes age worse ?
Answer: Blepharoplasty at 20 Thanks for sharing your photos. There is no age limit for an elective cosmetic procedure like blepharoplasty. Generally, certain changes in the aging skin tissue around the eyes mandate the eyelid surgery and thus, usually, older people would undergo blepharoplasty due to drooping eyelids and sagging of under eye skin. The cons are that with a blepharoplasty done at a young age, you will probably need a redo procedure at a later stage of life, the cost effect of an extra procedure and the dissatisfaction in case of not getting your desired look at a young age. Unless it is required to correct a major structural abnormality, it is better to postpone and undergo eyelid surgery when it is needed. My advice is to consult an experienced cosmetic plastic surgeon for precise evaluation.I hope this helps. All the best.

Answer: What are the cons to having a blepharoplasty young ? Age 20 Thanks for your question and photo! There is no official age cutoff for having eyelid surgery, although you may run into surgeons who prefer not to perform a blepharoplasty on already youthful eyes. Surgeons who do perform blepharoplasty on younger patients generally remove just skin and leave the muscle to maintain the natural volume that is expected in younger eyelids. Having a blepharoplasty young generally does not prohibit patients from having another blepharoplasty later on. I tell my patients that, while it certainly depends on the individual, if you get a blepharoplasty after your early 40's (say about 42 years old), then there is a good chance you will not need to have another blepharoplasty. If you have one before that age, there is more of likelihood that you may need another in the future. I recommend seeing an oculoplastic surgeon to be assessed in person. Hope that helps!
