I have six bumps on my forehead after Botox treatment. How long until it will disappear?

I was happy with my experience but never had this reaction before. It had been several years since I did my last treatment. Help. I had 20 units of botox on my forehead done yesterday which was painless and gentle. No problem other than htese bumps.

Thank you for your question.Small bumps at the injection site after Botox is common. It usually dissipates within a few minutes to a couple hours. If the bumps have not subsided, contact your injector for a follow up appointment to review your concerns. To be sure, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a
complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for
you to have treatment.

It is not uncommon to have bumps following botox treatment.These bumps are from the saline which is used
to dilute the botox.They usually
resolve over minutes to hours.If they
have lasted longer than a day, it may be best to follow up with your
provider.

Small bumps can occur immediately after Botox injections because of the sterile water used to dilute it.  They usually resolve in a few hours.  If you have resultant bruising, it can take a few days to clear.

Hi Etaine, Temporary bumps following Botox are commonly seen at the injection sites. These typically resorb within a few minutes to an hour of the injection.  Bumps lasting longer than that may be due to a reaction to proteins used in Botox such as Albumin or the dilutant used with the botox.  Even those types of bumps tend to resolve by themselves; but its not a bad idea for you to see your physician if the bumps have lasted more than a couple of days.

Botox is mixed with a dilution. The bumps you are speaking of last about an hour until the fluid is aborbed.

were injected with the botox, it's probably related to the amount of dilution the doctor used...all botox must be diluted since it comes in powder form...and with a lot of dilution obviously there are more bumps than with a more concentrated form...maybe the other doctors used the concentrated form...in any event the botox itself does not cause bumps...if just one or two of the areas had a bump, then it's possible it's related to a bruise or a sllight amount of bleeding into the skin...but the best news yet...the bumps will probably be gone by the time you read this...

These typically go away within a day and are usually at the sites of injection.  I usually recommend sleeping with your head of the bed elevated as well as no vigorous exercises for the first 24 hours.  If these persist, I would call your provider.

Most likely, this is from the dilution and it should disappear within a day or so.  If it doesn't, resolve, contact your injector.
