Does Botox cause tinnitus?

Question

I had a Botox injuction 21/03/15 as a follow up due eyes drooping and that night my right ear developed some kind of tone when spoke today 22/03/15 I have a load ringing sound in my right ear. Its so stressful I hope it wears off with Botox?

Botox has not been shown to cause tinnitus.It may be best you see an ear, nose and
throat specialist if the tinnitus does not improve.

Hi Stubmub,Based from the injection site normally used for drooping eyes, it is very unlikely that Botox may cause tinnitus. Botox is actually used for temporary relief from tinnitus on some cases.
