I've had Botox for first time and have had under eye creases worsen. Will it take three months to wear off? (Photo)

I have found this to happen when people over do botox around the eyes.  You can improve the look by doing venus legacy and fractional laser or RF treatments.  Otherwise you have to wait for 3-4 months for the botox to wear off.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Two things may have caused this: 1. Botox injection to your lower eyelid (lash line) 2. Injecting too low during your crow's feet injections. It may take anywhere from 2-4 months until things return to normal. In the future I would avoid injecting the lower eyelid area. Make sure you find an experienced injector. Best of luck.

Hi Flowerfairy8, Botox when injected in excess in the lower lids can lead to those creases. Since Botox's effects wear off gradually and not suddenly and you don't need the effect of the injected Botox to wear off 100% before you see a significant improvement in your lower lid creases, I anticipate that you will see a significant improvement in those lines in as early as 4 to 8 weeks.   You can continue to receive Botox for your Crows feet, just don't have it done in the lower lids. 

I see you problem and agree it is much worse than before. Your doctor needs to see this. There is no correction for this other than time. Think of the lower lid as a sling and when weakened, the orbital contents can fall out a bit. Your lids need the tension to look good. It won't take 3 months to get better because Botox gradually wears off, not abruptly. 

Thanks for your question. Botox gradually wears off over about three months. It's not like, you get Botox, it works for three months, then a switch is thrown and it all reverses itself overnight. So, you can expect gradual improvement, probably starting about 4-6 weeks following the treatment.If you use the same injector again, I'd be sure to share your concerns with them. I don't routinely use Botox in the lower eyelid because it can cause sagging. Be patient with it; it WILL wear off!

Most likely this was caused by the Botox done to your lower lids. However, if the injections for the crow's feet were done too close in, then the orbital muscle could also have been affected by that injection too. I would definitely avoid Botox to your lower lids in the future, and make certain your injector knows about your issues. The lines will get better day by day because Botox wears off over 3-4 months entirely. "This
