Botox on chin after chin implant? (photo)

Generally speaking, I would not expect a problem with the judicious use of botox to prevent the chin dimpling.Most of the dimpling that I have seen usually results from the muscle that pushes the lower lip up to close the mouth being at an unfavorable angle, so that it continually strains to effect this closure. This produces what is known as an "orange peel" look. But when an appropriate size chin implant is placed to add more support and reposition this mentalis muscle more anteriorly, this straining and dimpling usually resolves. It would be interesting to see how much of a change on profile your implant produced!

In general, having Botox injected to an area that has been well healed is not dangerous. That being said, you don't say how long ago your surgery was. I would give yourself at least 3 months after the surgery before you consider any other interventions. Also, remember that the Botox that you are considering is not "standard" Botox. I don't usually say this, but in this case, you are best off seeing a board certified plastic surgeon who understands the anatomy and which muscles have been cut or moved during surgery. Best of luck to you!
