Thank you for the question. I am happy to hear that you have recovered. The best option for parotid swelling, once other medical issues have been ruled out, is probably Botox injections. This should be done with small doses, sequentially over a few months. Best of luck moving forward!
The parotid/cheeks can be treated with liposuction and/or botox. I suggest seeing a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon with experience. Best, Dr. Emer.
Parotid swelling is common with bulimia. While there is no medicine to reduce this, there are some options to help slim this area. This must be done carefully as the facial nerve (nerve which controls the facial movements) runs through the parotid glands. Injury to the nerve can cause facial paralysis, so please make sure you seek a board certified specialist in the face who is knowledgeable about the anatomy in this area. 3-dimensional computer imaging can help you visualize what you may look like afterwards and serve as an important communication tool with your surgeon.
Hi Giorgio, I would recommend you to see ENT/Head and neck doctor to make sure there is no infection and biopsy is not required. You can try Botox injections but it has to be done by experienced board certified doctor. As far as a surgical procedure you can do Parotidectomy, it should be covered by insurance. Good luck!
Juvederm Voluma® is the current gold standard for lifting and enhancing the cheeks and mid-face. Since Voluma® is an advanced technique, please consult a board certified aesthetic dermatologist for a cosnultation.
Some mild asymmetry is very normal this can be fixed very easily with fillers or fat. if you are concerned speak to a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon who is experience in fillers. Best, Dr. Emer.
This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry...
Cheek implants are a great way to volumize the midface/ cheek area. The implants sit directly on the cheek bone, however. Thus the hollowing and sagging from tooth loss isn't ideally remedied by a cheek implant. I would recommend that you seek a consultation to discuss your options. It is...
For a more defined jawline to strengthen your profile (and help prevent the dreaded jawline "jowl" sagging), we use injectable fillers like Revanesse Versa - a filler known to limit swelling and give subtle, soft enhancements - or Radiesse. Using a cannula to limit pain and swelling, we inject...
Thank for your posting the photos. It appears that Voluma or Sculptra would be ideal to give your cheeks a more natural lift. Sculptra would take several sessions but would build up your body's own collagen and last up to two years. Please consult an experienced board certified de...
