3 weeks post op Brazilian Butt Lift, I drive a lot and work in the office where I'm required to sit. Will my fat be safe?

Most patients who receive fat transfers to their buttocks need to stay off their butt for 2-3 weeks. For the reason that the fat needs to be left alone to allow blood vessels to develop and provide nutrients and circulation to the fat (basically survive). After this time most of that process has occurred. However, you should discuss this with your surgeon, as most  are very particular about their post op care.

Thanks for your question. The BBL procedure generally has an easy recovery, depending on the extent of the liposuction performed to harvest the fat. The recovery from liposuction and BBL can take anywhere from 1-2 weeks. Patients may experience bruising and tenderness in the areas where lipo was performed, with very little pain on the actual buttocks.

Most patients need to be off their buttocks around 2-3 weeks from the surgery before spending extended time on their buttocks. Ask your treating plastic surgeon for his/her protocol, and adhere to that.

I generally clear my BBL patients to sit as needed about 10-14 days after surgery.   You are 3 weeks out from your procedure, so you should be OK.  But best to ask your plastic surgeon about his/her specific recommendations. 

I agree with Dr Basu. In my practice, patients are allowed to drive freely from 2 weeks onwards. Surgeons vary in terms of their aftercare following BBL surgery. Best is to check with your surgeon.
