When liposuction/liposculpture is performed entirely under local anesthesia with tumescent anesthesia, there is a maximum amount of lidocaine (the local anesthetic) that can be safely used. In addition, when removing fat from a large area, the body needs to heal (sealing all the disrupted blood vessels and lymphatics as well as removing damages fat cells). Because of these two factors, we usually recommend waiting at least 4 weeks between procedures. We also like to perform 2 separate small procedures instead of one large procedure so there is little to any pain and down time after the procedure. We suggest you visit a board-certified, experienced dermatologist who is an expert in tumescent liposculpture.

Hello,You've already heard that its most common to do those two areas in one procedure. You can have another procedure within a few days assuming that the first surgery was not very long (less than an hour or two) or caused you to be bed ridden. If you are having general anesthesia, you should have a second set of blood work to be safe.Best of luck!
