Prior to surgery I had herniated/puffy areolas and asymmetrical breasts. However after having implants placed, left areola is shaped so odd. Almost beak like from sideview. The areola feels like it's sticking out and pinched down towards the ground. When my nipples are hard it looks fine. I asked my surgeon about it and he simply stated it's because my areolas are herniated. But they never hung off my breast and pointed down like this before surgery. Any other explanation? How to fix this?
Answer: Breast surgery That could have been corrected if you had a lift at the time of surgery. Your nipples are just too low. just too low. Can be corrected but you need to see someone exierurnced in breast lifts.

Answer: What went wrong as after BA my areola now seems like it hangs off and points down off breast mound? (Photos) Hello @badgal11 I appreciate your question and showing your pictures. The look and feel of the breast after the surgery depend on different factors, one of the more important is where the prosthesis is going to be located, if is going to be in front of the muscle, behind the muscle, behind the muscle fascia. I link a video about it to shed some more light. You can fix it by having a reconstruction with prostheses to correct the look of the breast for a great result that for me is a breast that has an adequate shape and proportion, that the projection is slightly conical, that has a slight descent in the upper part so that it looks esthetically adequate. best wishes!

Answer: Postop Concerns Good morning, It seems like you are relatively new preop? At least it seems that way from the photos- in which case it looks like you had a high tight fold that was released by your PS and should improve with time over the next three months. In regards to the puffy nipple situation, this may also improve over time but it may persist, in which case an areola reduction will fix that issue.

Answer: Smaller implants with lift or release of inframammary fold You have not provided your before photographs but most likely your breasts where low on the chest wall. As a result the surgeon had to center the implants underneath the nipple-areola complex. Since he did not want to release your inframammary fold then the implants ended up high and your breasts are falling lower than that. At this time, I would recommend smaller implants with a breast lift or release the inframammary fold to not risk bottoming out. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Nipple issue Currently, your left implant is higher and has not dropped (I assume you are less than a month or two from surgery). This accentuates an issue you had prior to surgery: a short nipple to fold distance and tightly elastic tissues. Once your implants have fully settled, in someone like you 6 months minimum, an assess can be made to results. Possible adjustments may need to be made if one or both have not descended sufficiently. In general, as your implants drop, your nipples will ascend.

Answer: Tuberous breast needs a lift with implants The puffy areolas and very short distance from the areola to the bottom of the breast are characteristic features of tuberous breasts, and a lift is needed in order to correct it. The position of the implants isn't the issue.
