Am I a good candidate for eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty)? (Photo)

Thank you for submitting your question and including photos! You would absolutely benefit from having an upper bleph procedure done as that removes excess fat/skin from the upper eyelids. I recommend scheduling a consult appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon like myself so we can create a surgical plan that is best for you and your goals.

Eyelid surgery or a Blepharoplasty addresses excess skin of the upper and lower lids along with bulging fat. It is a most delicate procedure with wonderful rejuvenating results. However, it should not be done prematurely or to address minimal skin.

Your periocular area is symmetrical, and smooth. Your upper eyelids are also symmetrical with a youthful upper lid crease, a normal amount of pretasal lid show and no ptotic skin. Your upper lid crease is crisp and sharp. I don’t notice anything which I think a surgical procedure could improve upon. Best wishes.

Your eyebrows are too low. They are below the orbital rim. You will need a browlift and this probably take care of the upper eyelids rather than a blepharoplasty.

You are beautiful and very young for upper blepharoplasty surgery. Do not have surgery, enjoy your youth while you have it. If anything you may have a small dose of neuromodulator to lift your brows a bit. Nothing beats youth!!! Good luck and be well.

These are eyes with normal eyelid folds. You actually have beautiful big eyes. If you knock on enough doors, someone will operate on you. They will remove your upper eyelid folds and destroy your amazing eyelid aesthetics. You don’t appreciate your eyes now but you will instantly after your eyelids are skeletonized by the effects of upper blepharoplasty. In short you are a terrible candidate for eyelid surgery. Please don’t do this to yourself.

I see no need for surgical intervention.
The chance of you regretting your decision is high.
I suggest recognizing what you have is in your favor without intervention.
