My waist is 33 inches, use to be 27 but I’ve gained about 20 pounds so it’s gone up to 33 now. I have a very boxy figure and I just want more of an hourglass shape. Would 360 liposuction give me an hourglass shape??

Answer: Liposuction Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you are a great candidate for waistline contouring liposuction of your abdomen, flanks, and lower back. This can greatly improve your overall shape with a smaller waist. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Answer: Tummy tuck with mesh Your abdominal wall is protruding anteriorly and liposuction will most likely not correct that. If you want a more hourglass figure I recommend tummy tuck. If you are not planning future pregnancies, I recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement. The mesh creates a more hourglass figure by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
