How many inches can I expect to lose after swelling goes down after lipo 360?

You are very early in your recovery. It can take 6 months or more for all of the swelling to resolve. Be sure to follow all post operative instructions. Good luck.

Hello, and thank you for your inquiry. It is important that you know you it is going to take time before you see dramatic changes you were hoping for. Liposuction is one of the most difficult surgeries for patients to see results from immediately, as you are swollen for quite some time and everyone heals at different rates. Some people see a dramatic decrease in swelling after 4 weeks, some take 3 months. Try not to get discouraged, the best thing you can do is follow your surgeons post op instructions carefully and wear your compression garment religiously to assist in getting rid of the swelling.

liposuction removes fat tissue under your skin so you should lose some inches, but it is impossible to tell how much you will lose. I suggest you to follow your surgeon's instructions for best recovery and best results.

You are still early on the healing process, it can take up to six months to see your final results, so please be patient. At the stage you are in, inflammation is normal.

I tell my patients to not look in the mirror for the first few weeks. Of course everybody still does but the message gets across pretty well.  That way there's less chance of my patients posting on real self asking if these are going to be their final results.  My patients typically see results through assembling final results at six weeks.  If they're happy at six weeks they'll be thrilled at three months if they're not happy at six weeks they will not be happy at three months.  Please wait three months then reassess.  Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
