Hello, I am 15 days Post op an approx 1400 graft FUE. Most of the scabbing is a yellowish color and there are few dark "typical" scabs. They yellow ones seem to be flaking off consistently at this point. Very few hairs coming off with the flaking. I'd say I still have 99% of the hair. Is this a sign that I may be in the minority of people who get min shedding and immediate hair growth, or is shedding still likely, despite the scabs falling off without hair falling with it? Thanks in advance.
Answer: 2 weeks post-FUE, scabs are flaking off without losing any of the transplanted hair. Does this mean I'll have immediate growth? Usually most of the hair does fall out following a hair transplant, and it takes anywhere from 3 to 12 months to see hair growth, each follicle having a different dormant stage. However, I have seen patients who lose very little hair, and you may be one of the lucky ones. Most of the lucky ones are in their thirties or early 40's. Good luck.

Answer: Hair Shedding After Hair Transplant Scabs are gone first and hair will shed in 2-4 weeks after hair transplant. If it persists beyond that time you may be that rare individual in which the hair continues to grow and bypasses the resting phase.
