Loose neck skin after mini lift. Can this be fixed?

Can you post a picture of what your neck looked like before surgery. A minilift will give you some improvement in the jowl and mild improvemnt in the neck area- you have minimal neck laxity at this point and I would suggest something like ultherapy to light and tighten some of the looseness.

Fixing the skin would basically be re-doing the mini lift under local and getting what you really expected in the first place. Yes you can get the skin tighter and maybe Morpheus8 RF can help also.

You have a very nice profile-however not sure what your preop looked like. If you truly had a minilift, the neck was not addressed--as this is a procedure mainly aimed at improving the jowls.It may tighten the neck slightly, but in order to work on the neck, patients require a lower face and neck lift (aka 'facelift') or a necklift.Your neck has to have some give so you can move your head up and down, so there is a limit to how tight a neck can be. You could discuss with your doctor some skin tightening treatments like Infini, but I would not think that a weight change of 5 pounds would make a difference. Certainly does not need a surgical revision, I would try an energy device.

Thank you for your question and pictures.  Your results appear positive your neck has a nice contour, giving you a natural appearance.  You will always have a little bit of slack because skin is elasticity and needs to be able to move.  Pulling the skin even more is not the solution - the only way to try and get it tighter would be Renuvion, which is a skin tightening machine which works from the inside of the neck with a cannula.  All The Best

It is difficult to effectively answer your question based on the photo you provided. An exam to determine the degree of skin laxity would be necessary.
Suffice it to say that if there is excess skin, a resection or elevation of that skin will likely be necessary to "tighten" the area of concern whether that be the neck, face, or abdomen.
I recommend an evaluation by a board certified plastic surgeon.

k227I appreciate your concern, however your photo demonstrates a reasonable result with just modest submental skin and perhaps a bit of fat. This may be remedied by submental micro liposuction under local anesthesia.The type of mini facelift operation matters, in my opinion.  My favorite technique is the MACS short scar Mini-Facelift. Developed in Europe, it is the ideal approach for the younger patient, not ready for a full facelift, or patients who desire a less invasive procedure with a shorter recovery time. It addresses both the mid face area (especially the jowls) as well as the neck, if needed. Best of luck.

Thanks for your question. You seem to have a very nice profile appearance! Some additional skin can always be removed/tightened up, but you might be better off trying some laser resurfacing procedures to help build collagen which will provide a more youthful look. Best wishes

A mini lift does not give the same results as a Facelift.  Mini lifts are designed for minimal improvement.  What you have described is par for the course with a mini facelift.  If this continues to bother you, you may want to consider a real facelift.
