Late 20s mini face lift? Better for healing and more natural results? (Photo)

Question

I know fillers are recommended over a facelift before 30. But if I can place my fingers on my hairline and pull gently back and THEN I see the face I recognize makes me wonder how fillers can be enough. Fine lines=fixed , texture=fixed , smoothness and suppleness=fixed. And how do I prevent changes to my facial muscle structure, my eyes, my heart shaped lips. All of these things solved and even improved over my most youthful face by a simple pull up and back from above my ears and eyebrows.

lovelierthings.  Your face is young and beautiful and any type of facelift would be a huge mistake!. Seek the advice of a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area for possible Botox and modest fillers, but in your case, less is more! Good luck.

Thanks for your question. You have a beautiful and youthful face! Do not have a facelift. I would suggest Botox & a small amount of filler, but more importantly medically-managed skin care. This includes quality products (does not have to be the most expensive), laser resurfacing/tightening, and routine medical facials to help exfoliate. I hope that helps a little? Best wishes

There are many things to consider with regards to facial rejuvenation. The tone and texture of your skin are much better now than they will be when you are thirty or forty years older. As they say "enjoy your youth". The elasticity of your skin decreases over time and is determined by many things. Genetics, Father time, general health, diet, exercise, weight cycles, smoking, alcohol, sun exposure, diabetes, thyroid condition and even stress all determine each and everyone's "elasticity equation". Only an in office evaluation can determine what the best course of action will be in your case. It would be very rare to see a patient still in their 20s require a face lift. I have had a rare patient in their early 30s with extenuating circumstances need a face lift, but our elasticity is generally adequate until our mid to late 40s at the earliest. Fillers, surface laser treatments, or even the newer "FaceTite" procedure may get you the tone and texture that you desire. My Best!John Standefer MD

Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures using dermal fillers, facial implants (cheek, chin), liposuction and/or facelifts for over 30 years.  From the photos, there are no you "jowls" in the lower face which means that you would not be considered a candidate for anytime of facelift procedure (discussed below).  However, when the cheeks are concave in the front and I suspect that the chin might be weak (can be confirmed with a profile photo.  
  Following my beauty principles, women look the most feminine, youthful and attractive with heart shaped faces.  Heart shaped faces have cheeks that are full and round in the front.  Cheek augmentation with a dermal filler or using cheek implants for a permanent enhancement will create full, round cheeks that will feminize the entire face.
 Conversely, men look chiseled and handsome when angularity exists (or is created) in the cheeks, chin and mandibular angles. I have performed many facial shaping procedures, including Chin Augmentation with dermal fillers or silastic chin implants, for over 30 years.  When the chin is weak, this creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face top heavy, the lower face looks short, de-emphasizes the lips and allows early formation of a "double chin".  
 Proper placement of a silastic chin implant adds forward projection to the chin thereby creating harmony and balance to the lower face.  Using the same incision, liposuction can be performed to reduce the fat and further shape the neck.  Excess skin, from below the chin, can also be removed through the same incision.  
 I have found that placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick, highly effective and far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty (requires extensive tissue dissection, bone cuts and placement of metal screws and plates to secure the cut segments of bone).  I perform chin implant surgery in 30 minutes or less, often using a local anesthetic alone.  In my opinion, you are a good candidate for chin implant surgery.  
  Hi, I have performed many SMAS facelifts for over 30 years and have performed many minimally, invasive SMAS facelifts.  If you have "jowls” these are sagging facial tissues and the main indication for some form of a SMAS facelift.  The underlying SMAS layer, of the face, must be dissected, lifted, trimmed and re-sutured (not merely folded or suspended with threads or sutures that will not last).  The excess skin is then removed and the facelift incisions closed.
 My most popular SMAS facelift is the minimally invasive, short incision SMAS facelift that has all the benefits of more invasive facelifts (traditional, mid-face, deep plane, cheek lift and subperiosteal facelifts) but with these added benefits:
