Am I too young to get a mini face lift at 28 years old or would filler and jawline lipo be a better option?

I don't have an age cut off for mini lifting- i base it on whether there is a lot of facial skin and if you are a surgical candidate- at 28, this would be very rare, and in your situation, you are definitely not a candidate for a mini lift- What exactly are you trying to achieve or look for ? The short answer is yes, facial fillers and injectables like kybella are the best option at this time, depending on what look you are trying to obtain.

A Mini Facelift can usually be an option on most realistic patientsanytime after the age of 35-40. It really depends on your anatomy andgenetics. It is best to talk to your surgeon because everybody hasdifferent techniques and recovery time is usually based on a number offactors.
I strongly feel that it's very important to have an honestconversation with your surgeon about your particular situation,lifestyle, work environment and specifically which procedures you'rehaving done so that you both have the most honest answer about yourrecovery and are realistic with expectations and results.
Surgery is not for everyone. In today's day and age, there are manynonsurgical options like injectables to consider although surgeryusually gets the most improvement specifically of the jowls.
I would recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon inyour area that is a member of both ASPS & ASAPS and performs a lot offacelifts but also offers all the nonsurgical options such asinjectables and laser treatments. Go over your concerns with them andmake sure above all, you walk out of there with several options and anidea of the pros and cons to each of them as well as realisticexpectations.

Mini facelifts are usually a good choice for patients who are between 35-45 and have only slight laxity, which is not corrected with dermal fillers, tightening lasers and Botox. It does however depend on your anatomy and degree of volume loss. At 28, there are many minimally invasive procedures you can have to define your jawline and restore lost volume. I recommend a consultation with a board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can review all of your options with you.

 Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures using dermal fillers, silastic facial implants (cheek, chin), liposuction and/or facelifts for over 30 years.  From the photos, your right cheek is a bit flat in the front, the chin is quite weak and the upper lip is too full compared to the lower lip (following my beauty principles, the lips should be full with the upper lip approximately 75 % the size of the lower lip for the lips to appear balanced)....however there are no signs of "jowls" in the lower face which are the main indication for any type of facelift procedure as described below.
 Following my beauty principles, women look the most feminine, youthful and attractive with heart shaped faces.  Heart shaped faces have cheeks that are full and round in the front.  Cheek augmentation with precise placement of a dermal filler to the front not the sides of the cheeks will create full, round cheeks that will feminize the entire face.
 I have performed many Chin Augmentations using chin implants for over 30 years.  A weak chin creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face top heavy and the lower face look short that de-emphasizes the lips and allows early formation of a double chin.  Chin augmentation using a chin implant will add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to the lower face. 
 I have found that placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick, highly effective and far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty.  I perform chin implant surgery in 30 minutes or less, often using a local anesthetic alone.  In my opinion, you are a good candidate for chin implant surgery.
 The back portion of your jaw line is a bit weak and can be augmented, without making your face appear masculine, using precise placement of a dermal filler (I prefer using Restylane Lyft).   If you do not wish to use dermal fillers to properly shape the face, the cheeks and chin can be augmented with silastic implants by an experienced facial implant surgeon.  Some spot reduction of some fat from the right mid and lower face can be done at the same time to further shape the cheeks and face.

Thank you for your question and photos. At present, I do not see the necessity for an open procedure such as a mini facelift. In my experience, laser liposuction of the neck and jaw line would sharpen your jawline as well as the angle from your chin to your neck as well as tighten the skin along the jaw line from the heat of the laser. Some fat grafting could be placed in your cheek to help reshape the face. Hope that's helpful.
