I'm nearly 3 weeks from getting fat grafting to my cheeks and underneath my eyes. My smile looks totally weird: my cheeks get really high and round like a hamster packing nuts away for the winter. And I look really swollen in general. At 3 weeks is this swelling or is this the fat????

Salt may cause you to retain fluid but crying will not help the swelling, which is normal after any surgery. This is best discussed with the surgeon who did the procedure.
Runners can have premature fat pad thinning and descent. Still recommend acting NOW to replace that volume with a deeply placed filler such as Voluma that lasts 2 years. That will allow for the fat pad puzzle to remain connected and not get creases and grooves where they are separating.
A photograph would help immensely. If there is a correction to be made, certainly fat transfer is a good option. Without a photo, this is difficult to assess. You may not need an invasive procedure, therefore, a consultation would be the best route for you to proceed with a treatment.
