After lip injections (or injectables in general) we recommend waiting 24-48 hours after the injection to work out or do any high intensity physical activity. This is mostly due to swelling, as getting your heart rate elevated can cause blood flow that could lead to excess swelling and possible filler migration.

After lip filler with Restylane Kysse, it’s best to avoid strenuous exercise for at least 24–48 hours. Physical activity increases blood flow, heart rate, and pressure in the injected area, which can lead to more swelling, bruising, or even uneven results if done too soon.

Gentle walking is fine, but skip intense workouts, hot yoga, saunas, or anything that causes excessive sweating for the first couple of days. After 48 hours, most people can safely resume their normal fitness routine once swelling and tenderness have subsided.

Hello, and thank you for your question. It is best to avoid exercise for at least 24-48 hours after dermal filler injection. Physical activity can worsen swelling which can also lead to further bruising. The first few days should be focused on healing (icing, sleeping upright, Tylenol as needed for discomfort, etc). I would recommend consulting with your provider for more in-depth instructions after dermal filler placement.

It is generally recommended to avoid vigorous exercise or activities that may increase heart rate or blood pressure for at least 24-48 hours to minimize the risk of swelling and bruising. Engaging in vigorous exercise can potentially exacerbate  these side effects. Also, listen to your body. If you experience discomfort, pain, or increased swelling during or after, it may be  a sign that you need to take it easy and give your body more time to heal.

Hello! Thanks for your question. There will be different answers depending on provider. I tell my patients to wait 24 hours before strenuous exercise. This gives time for normal swelling to occur and to make sure no ill effects are seen. After that, exercise may begin slowly assuming no pain or problem is encountered. Hope this helps!
