I suggest asking your plasticsurgeon this question as different surgeons have different post-op instructions.Your incisions must be completely closed and you shouldn’t have any drains. Thatbeing said, a basic guideline to follow is 3-4 weeks. Best regards.
This largely depends on how extensive your procedure was. Always best to check with your plastic surgeon for the best advice. I generally allow most of my tt patients to have sex after six weeks with the woman in the top position so she is in control to make it less likely for an injury to occur.#sexaftersurgery#TT#tummytuck
I would check in with your plastic surgeon and this is a commonly asked question. I tell my patients to wait 4 weeks.
It would be about a month after surgery before sex would be safe. Start off slowly and be careful not to damage the treated area. Your scars will be prominent and swelling will still make you look larger than you should but having sex at that time would not compromise your recovery if you do it gently. After 6 months to a year, you should be fully recovered and be able to resume normal sexual activities without restrictions.
Wait times will average depending on the extent of the tummy tuck. A mini tummy tuck has a shorter recovery time compared to the regular tummy tuck and the extended tummy tuck. To be on the safe side, wait 4 to 6 weeks.
The best person to ask would be your surgeon as not all tummy tucks have the same surgical involvement and downtime. In general, you should expect to be out these type of activities for 4-6 weeks.
This is best to ask of your surgeon who knows what was done and has followed your recovery. A "generic" answer would be 6 weeks, but that would not apply to each individual patient. All the best.
