Breast lift with implants - will I need implants to keep the same breast size? (Photos)

Question

Hello I am 150 pounds bra size 36DD my breast got sagged lost weight and with age I am looking to do a breast lift but I am not sure if implant is necessary i don’t want a reduction I like the size of my breast I wast thinking like implant of the same size of my breast a 36D ? Just to give more volume but I am not sure what would be best PLEASE HELP thank you I just want a perky and aesthetic look

Implants will only make you bigger. If you are happy with your size then implants are not needed. I recommend an in person evaluation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. A lift alone preserves your own volume, so you do not need an implant to stay a DD. What an implant changes is the character of the upper breast: the décolleté becomes more defined and rounder, because your natural breast tissue is essentially fat and gives a softer, more natural slope, while an implant holds a firm, round shape.
One thing I want to be clear about: do not choose an implant on the assumption that it prevents sagging. Even with the implant under the muscle, the implant itself may stay in place while your own breast tissue sags over it with time. So 'it won't sag if I get an implant' should not be part of your decision &mdash; the real question to ask yourself is how much a firm, very round décolleté matters to you. Also keep in mind that a heavy breast &mdash; even when it is entirely your own tissue &mdash; always carries a risk of sagging earlier simply because of its weight.
Recovery also differs. With an implant, there is more pain and a somewhat longer healing period; without one, pain is minimal &mdash; almost negligible &mdash; and most patients return to daily life in under a week. In both cases, however, heavy exercise and heavy lifting are off-limits for 6–8 weeks.

The photos show good breast volume with significant ptosis, skin laxity, and a lower nipple position. If you like your current size and do not want larger breasts, a breast lift alone may be the main operation; it can reshape and raise your own tissue, but it usually does not add much upper-pole fullness.

An implant is not used to make the same breast size. It is usually added when someone wants more volume or upper-pole fullness, and with a D/DD starting size it can make the breasts heavier and sometimes increase the chance of recurrent sagging. Some tissue removal is often needed during a lift for shaping and skin tightening, but it does not have to be a major reduction. An in-person exam can decide whether lift alone, auto-augmentation with your own tissue, a small implant, or lift with a small reduction best matches your goal.
