Answer: Scabs by 8th day Yes, it is normal for the scabs not to fall out at this time. Typically, scabs just don't fall out naturally. However, you have to be careful and slowly and carefully remove the scabs. The best way to do it is by day 10, you can gently rinse your hair with water. Then take conditioner in your hand and gently apply to the top of your scalp and let the conditioner sit for 5-7 minutes. This softens the scabs then use your finger pads, not your nails, to gently massage the area then rinse over. Do this for few days and all your scabs will gradually fall off without damaging the grafts.

Answer: Scabbing at 8 days. Perhaps you can consider soaking in a tub for 10-15 minutes to loosen up the scabs. Also, consult your post operative instructions as most doctors recommend normal hair washing at day 8 after a transplant. Standing underneath the direct shower stream will also help to moisten the area & loosen the scabs.
