Hi there,I think 1mL is a very reasonable place to start with your lips. Depending on the product used and your overall goals, you may very well need more. But I'd agree with starting with 1mL, give it two weeks to settle, and then re-evaluate and decide if you want more. Best of luck!Dr. A
Most doctors will start with one-syringe to avoid overfilling. These fillers, (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good to create a symmetrical and full lip. PDO NovaThreads can also be used to improve shape and also provide lift. Fat or implants are a permanent alternative. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Dear Terrific994063,I typically use Juvederm for my lip sculpting. There are two main focuses of lip injections, adding volume and actually sculpting the shape. Both involve injecting the filler in different areas of the lips and patterns.I would recommend finding a plastic surgeon to perform you lip injections. Most of my patients have results that last at least 6 months.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Yes 1.1cc should make a noticeable difference to your lip volume. Whether it meets your expectations depends on what your exact goals are. Discuss with your injector to get the best advice.
Most likely you're going to have an excellent outcome from even one syringe of hyaluronic acid filler. Make sure that you go to a plastic surgeon who specializes in lip augmentations. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City plastic surgery
Thank you for your question. Dermal fillers usually come in a 1 ml syringe. Most patients are quite happy after one syringe. However, it is possible and easy to add more product for your desired look. I hope this help. All the best, Dr. Michon
That sounds like a fairly ideal volume for average lips. Sometimes starting a little more conservatively may be a good idea especially for those who are apprehensive of looking over treated. I would make sure you don’t have too much volume placed in the upper lip which Can look a bit fake or overdone. Generally Patients should maintain the same upper lip, lower lip volume ratios they had before filler to look most natural. In my practice it’s rare to do more than one syringe for upper and lower lips. Generally people with four little lips can tolerate significantly more volume. Women with very thin lips may not tolerate even 0.5 mL Without looking fake.certain products also seem to give more and sustaining volume such as Voluma in which case less product can often be used to get the same results.Talk to your provider.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
Thank you for your question. 1.0 ML of Juvederm Ultra XC is typically the amount that is used for a lip augmentation. If after 7-14 days you feel that you may want to add more shape and volume then a second syringe may also be added. Best of luck!
Hi @Sheba1970! Superficial injections especially around the vermillion border are safe and give a beautiful result. I recommend seeking treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications. Best of...
You would get a nice improvement with lip fillers. These fillers, (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good to create a symmetrical lip. Nova threads can be used to improve lift and shape. Implants or fat are alternatives. Technique will be important here, so you'll want to see someone meticulous...
Thank you for sharing your excellent question. I think you should safely be able to have lip fillers placed without spread of your vitiligo. Hope this helps.
