Treatments to remove lines and tighten my mouth area? (photos)

Question

Would you say my upper lip lines are mild or moderate? What can I do to erase them? I’m 35 and have tried 5 treatments of Dermapen and some filler in lips and above mouth area to help.

Typically a combination of treatments will yield the best result.  Fillers, such as Volbella, which are thinner are recommended for the lip area.  Other treatments such as lasers, chemical peels, and microneedling can help improve skin tone and texture.

Your problem with lipstick bleeding (bar code) lines is a quite a common one. They eventually result from overactivity of the muscles around the mouth, as can be seen when you purse your lips, which in turn leads eventually to permanently etched-in vertical fine lines and creases. So, to address the problem, you need to both diminish the muscular overactivity, which can be accomplished quite easily with a a couple of microdroplets of Botox (or Dysport, Xeomin or Juveau) injected on each side of the upper lip, as well as the use of a cohesive, filler like Belotero Balance, injected superficially into each vertical line and crease to elevate and smooth them. And finally, a skinbooster, such as Restylane Silk fanned superficially across that entire region can impart the necessary hydration to further stretch and tighten the skin there without bulking the skin. Make sure that you consult with a board certified aesthetic physician with experience and expertise in the use of neuromodulators, fillers and injectable skin boosters.  Best of luck to you.

The corner of your mouth sags down and you have excessive skin between your nose and upper lip.  I recommend a lip lift.  A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases incisor show and pulls up the corners.  Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Fillers such as Volbella if used correctly can be very effective for upper lip lines.   A newer alternative is Plasma Pen which can have a dramatic effect on lip lines.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like this can be improved with laser treatment.  If you are considering a treatment, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
