Question

2 months after chin augmentation via intraoral way, there appeared ( well I've noticed) small hole in surure, about 4 mm ... i feel and hear cracking air bubbles in my lower lip while talking. i think that air could get there by the small hole in suture. Should it be restitched? Could it be problem?

You need to seek your surgeon's advice asap, your chin implant is likely infected and needs a cycle of antibiotics to tray salvation, which is unlikely if infection is confirmed; any infected implant needs removal, moreover at the chin.Do consider lifetime osseous genioplasty in the future. Chin implants are associated to a large number of common complications and poor results.

If the wound is dehisced, it can be revised.  You should follow up with your surgeon to make sure that there is no other signs of infection and that the chin implant is not exposed/contaminated.  Good luck!Goretti H. Taghva MD
