I've currently been on topical finasteride 0.25% for 6 months. No side effects and thinking to switch slowly to oral as it is more efficient than topical finasteride. The fact that I have been on topical finasteride for 6months with no side effects does that mean that I am unlikely to have side effects from 0.25mg daily? (i.e does 0.25% have as much finasteride in the blood stream than 0.25mg? or what is the equivalent?) Would really appreciate your opinion on this? Many thanks!

Some ppl have mature hairline since birth ,plz compare your existing pictures with previous pictures if forehead appears broader and hairline has receded also if there is existing hairloss in the other areas, then it is a case of male pattern baldness ,it is suggested to try with medical hair...
I totally agree with you, stopping finasteride would bring back your hair loss plus what you would have lost over the time you took it, In other words, stopping might leave you worse off than when you started it. Your doctor is wrong
I would recommend starting with the brand name for proven efficacy and then switching to generic after about 6 months for maintenance. If you notice any drop off in effect then go back to the brand name. Do not be lured by some of the responses below to buy unnecessary products.
