Would a rhinoplasty cause my hair to fall out?

I have a question regarding rhinoplasty. I am considering getting it done however I am concerned that it can cause hair fall. I have a history of hair fall ; but it is under control now.

It does occasionally occur that patients will experience *temporary* hair loss with any significant stress to the body such as an operation under anesthesia. The phenomenon is known as telogen effluvium. I've never seen it following a rhinoplasty, not even once, but it can occur with more major operations. The good news is that if such a rare phenomenon happens, it's almost always self-limited and the hair grows back weeks to months later.Hope this helps,--DCPPearson Facial Plastic Surgery®

Rhinoplasty will not cause hair to fall out. However, there are a few incidental reports of hair loss under general anesthesia. I have no knowledge of whether these are caused by the anesthesia or not.
