I would like a revision sliding genioplasty. I want my chin moving back by 3mm due to persistent tightness after an 8mm forward movement. My question is, will this make the chin pad sag? ( witches chin )

Reduction genoplasty can often be performed by removing bone from the lower end of the chin. This avoids the need for any plates or screws. A reduction of 1.5 cm is quite a lot, and might be more than necessary. An assessment by a craniofacial surgeon or oral maxillary surgeon would be necessary...

Following a genioplasty procedure, the step-off areas can be shaved and any deficient areas or voids can be filled with a type of bone putty or calcium hydroxyapatite. I prefer the bone putty. Why do the plate and screws need to be removed? Your profile appearance looks good.
