Hey (thanks in advance docs), To keep in short and sweet as I know your time is valuable I'll keep things to bullet point form; - What is 5mm Permalip implants equal too? (1/2 a syringe of filler, 1 syringe?) -What is your experience with the implants? Have you had happy patients? -Would you personally recommend Permalip? -Would you personally say it's worth it? Many thanks to all of you who answer, I can't tell you how much I appreciate it! Darcia
Answer: Permalip Implant Thank you for your question. I would suggest 5mm Permalip implants is about equal to 1.5 ml of filler. Please make sure you find a reputable and qualified plastic surgeon who can assess you properly to give you a realistic idea of what outcome you can achieve. All The Best

Answer: Lip Implants Thank you for your question! In my practice I seem to find that the 5mm is equal to about 1 cc of filler. A lot of my patients are extremely happy with the results of the quick and easy procedure. In most cases, it is patients who are tired of having lip injections every 6 months and dealing with the swelling and bruising that turn to the Permalip. Several patients after the Permalip come in to have small amounts injected into their lips along the vermillion boarder for added perfection.I would recommend them if you are wanting larger lips and be sure to follow all post op instructions. I wish you the best of luck!

Answer: 5mm Permalip The volume of a 5mm permalip implant is approximately equivalent to a little less than 1 cc of juvederm to each lip. The 4mm implant is approximately 1/2 cc of juvederm to each lip. This is just an estimate. I also think that the volume from the implants looks different in different peoples lips depending on their underlying shape and natural lip volume. Most of my patients love the Permalip implant and have found permalip implants to be a great option for long term volume. It is worth it if you know you like a fuller lip and want a more permanent option. It is definitely more cost effective than filler. However, Permalip is not the best option for everyone, and educating patients on what to expect and performing this procedure in the right patients is important to having a high satisfaction with this procedure. Its best to find an experienced surgeon that you can discuss your goals and concerns to help you decide if this is a good option for you. Best of luck!

Answer: What is a 5mm Permalip implant equal to? The volume of the implant is equivalent to a 1 cc syringe of filler. The vast majority of patients are happy with them. As with everything is life, there are exceptions. I have had 2 patients who did not like them. One was a patient who told me later ( after surgery) that she had taken her own braces off. I have to admit that was a first. The other one only had an implant in the top lip and claimed it wasn't straight ( it was). She was upset because her husband wanted the money she spent to go on a cruise. With this said, if you have realistic expectations and communicate with your surgeon, you could have a very nice result with the implants.
