Thank you very much for enquire.It's too early to make value judgments with only 6 weeks after a rhinoplasty.Swelling after a rhinoplasty depends of the surgery complexity.In this regard, the nasal swelling Post-op It can last from two weeks to two months.To reduce this swelling, I recommend you perform delicates daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the face (around the nose) avoid sun exposure, and take pain/inflamation pills, as your surgeron precribe you.Kind regards, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

Rhinoplasty is a complicated process that starts before the actual surgery and continues long after.  Unfortunately revisions after rhinoplasty are not uncommon.  Timing is important and waiting becomes part of the formula.  At times some things like injectable can help in the interim.  Discuss these issues with your doctor and I sincerely wish you a satisfactory outcome - it can and will happen.  Hang in thereIFred G. You are correct that your bone has collapsed
inwards on the right from the osteotomy. As it is now six weeks post surgery,
means it is unlikely to be a simple matter of pushing the bone back in place.
Typically, after two weeks the bone will not move. Although I also follow the
rule about no revisions in the first year after surgery, the amount of
deviation you have there would lend one to go earlier, say at six months rather
than allow this visible deformity to persist. The other option is to go with
temporary fillers until you reach the year mark to camouflage this.

It appears that the bone on your right side has collapsed which is causing the deformity. Fillers would be a possibility to camouflage the deformity, but if this is only 6 weeks old, I would have your surgeon look at it. He/she can probably re-set the nose fairly easily. I am sure they don't want it to heal this way any more than you do.John Standefer MD

Even if it is very early in your recovery, it does look like you may have a problem with the position of your nasal bones. I would recommend to get in touch with your surgeon for an examination. If a revision will be needed, it may be possible to use fillers to temporarily camouflage the deviation, while you wait for the surgical correction.
