Is the following morph possible with a sliding genioplasty, or is jaw surgery needed? (Photo)

Hi, I'd like to achieve the result in the attached morph, I'm not interested in a chin implant and I have a class one occlusion so BSSO alone won't do it... it's either sliding genioplasty, double jaw surgery or a combination. Is this really feasible with a sliding genioplasty plus HA paste for the step off and mentolabial fold, or am I expecting too much, would jaw surgery be required? Thank you for your input.

I would start with a consultation and take xrays. Usually mandibular advancement and chin surgery is all you need to take care of this issue.

Your intuition is correct, you need both bone and soft tissue reduction. This can be ideally done from a submental approach where both excessive tissues can be removed.

 thank you for your question. I would seek a consultation with a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Based on your profile image, the issue is as much with the position of your jaws as it is your chin.   A surgeon can only make a chin look so large. Giving you an over-sized...

Thank you for your pictures.  There is little that can be done about reducing the soft tissue of the chin.  The bony chin can bed reduced to give the chin a smaller appearance.

Thank you for your pictures.  There are several ways to diminish the appearance of your chin.  Reducing the chin is one way.  A personal consultation would go a long way to getting the most appropriate treatment for you.

Thank you for you pictures.  Your facial profile looks good to me.  If you desire a smaller dimension to your chin then a reduction genioplasty may be appropriate but it depends on your exam and expectations.
