I am 3 weeks post op. Will I ever get a cleavage? (Photo)

Thanks for ur question! Based on ur photos, I'll bet that ur post op cleavage will b fine once u heal. In my experience, I really like implant massage exercises to help achieve this. Implant massage is anecdotal & somewhat controversial, but in my experience of doing thousands of these surgeries, it's really served me well. Best of luck!

HI Gemma, It is too early to say whether you will get some cleavage or not. It would be better for you to show a photo with your arms down as your current position makes it very difficult to determine the exact position of the implants.It would be best to wait until 3 or more months have passed before making a judgment on your potential cleavage.  It is difficult to be patient, but that is what you should do at this point.Best,Dr. Christine Rodgers

Right now, you are early on in the
post op recovery period. It will take 3-6 months for you to feel comfortable
having implants in your body and for them to settle. This time allows for you
to physically and psychologically adapt to your new body image. There are many
variables that contribute to a breast augmentation's final result. Preop size
and shape, IMF location, location of the implants and type of implant. Patients
heal at different rates and each breast will sometimes heal at a different
rate. Rest, relax, recover and heal. Please Express your concerns to your surgeon so
he/she can examine you at this time. Then reassess final result at 6 months.

The best way to assess and give true
advice would be an in-person exam.

Hello,Thank you  for your question and photo- you appear to have a great result so far- this can be a long process. It will take between 2-6 months for your breast to soften and drop/fluff. Though the spacing between nipples that you started with will not change, you will find that eventually as they become softer you can wear push up bras and make whatever cleavage you wish. Hang in there!

Hello, often the breasts are quite firm only 3 weeks after surgery but they soften over several months.  The surgeon needs to insert the implants in the base of the breasts, so if the breasts are widely spaced the gap might remain after surgery.  However, at the breasts soften it might be possible to push them closer to create cleavage.

It can take 3 - 6 months for the breasts to soften , drop and settle into position.  Be patient and give it time. look its best approximately three months after #augmentation surgery. It takes time for
the skin and muscle to stretch and relax around the new #implant. The breast will
often look higher, firmer, and “less natural” in the first three months. It
can take up to a year to see your final result.

Dear gemmatuck,

Your implants are in the proper position which
means they are centered under your nipple and areola on each side. Realize that
most women whether they have had implants or not are still going to require the
aid of a pushup bra to get that desired cleavage.

Dear Gemmatuck,As part of my pre-op exam I push breasts together to show patients their natural cleavage because this is what will determine their ability to create cleavage post operatively. If they have a wide gap before, they will still have a gap after. Your arms are in a position in your photo that makes your gap look as wide as possible. You should show a photo of you pushing the implants to the center. That being said, your augmentation looks great!
