Does home Ultherapy worsen jowls?

Question

I've been using an UltraMed 3mhz setting ultrasonic home device as Ultherapy. But I've stopped for now, after 3x usage, because it seems my jowls are actually worsening. All the images I have seen before and after of Ultherapy patients seem to make jowls worse. Is nobody seeing this? What's the issue here? Thank youl.

I have had many patients very happy with their success in seeing the jowls raise after Ultherapy.  I can't comment on a home unit of which I have no knowledge, nor can I say that I see photos of worse jowls.  Some people do have swelling that make the jowls look heavier for the first day or two, but most see an immediate tightening if anything, rather than a lowering.

Ultherapy uses a technology called microfocused ultrasound, combined with an imaging system so that the treatment layer can be visualized for precise targeting. There are no focused ultrasound devices available for home use. They are prescriptive devices meaning only available to physicians, because misuse of focused ultrasound could cause harm. I have not seen pictures of cases where Ulthera makes jowls worse.

Ultherapy is FDA approved and it is very effective to non invasively tighten the skin on the face, neck - also it is FFDA approved for an eyebrow lift and to treat the decolletage. I don't know what your device is and I am sure it is not FDA approved to treat laxity of the skin on the face or neck. Read the Ultherapy book provided on the link below.
