Will I have a higher metabolic rate the first month after BBL?

Once fat cells are collected (by liposuction) and transferred to the buttock, their survival (and ultimately your final result) is highly dependent on a favorable environmentallowing nutrients and blood supply to the new fat cells. The transferred fat cells require a higher than normal level of nutrition and blood flow (your metabolic rate is increased). During recovery, the failure to eat a proper diet or strenuous fat burning exercises will deplete cells of vital nutrition and decrease fat cell survival.

after BBl surgery, your body will start spending a lot more energy and nutrients in order to heal. So it is very important that you have adequate food intake during recovery process. Every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.
