Will the gap in my incisions after an alar base reduction heal spontaneously or should I be concerned? (Photos)

Thank you for the question and the attached photos. Alar base reduction scars improve up to a year after surgery and I would not be at all concerned at this stage. I would advice massaging the scars at six weeks and your PS will be able to give you his/her protocol. Best of luck.

Hi Lala.  Thank you for your question and photos.  Your incisions appear to be healing nicely.  You do have some swelling having just had your stitches removed so it's not uncommon for the incisions to look like a gap.  As teh swelling reduces this will improve.  You have a great result at this stage - congrats!  Enjoy your new nose and good luck with your recovery.

thank you very much for this question. All seems fine and certainly this is such an early stage that it is very difficult to predict how things will heal eventually.
It is agreed that the result will keep changing for several months or years.
I would suggest to keep in touch with your plastic surgeon regularly and follow his prescriptions and recommendations.

Your incisions are very new and you have a lot of swelling.It can take several months for the swelling to subside and for the redness to resolve.
