Is my ear healing correctly after otoplasty? I had otoplasty surgery 6 days ago. (Photos)

Thank you for your question. I would recommend returning to see your surgeon . The suture you see looks to be one that will dissolve. The blister is not uncommon after surgery, but you should see your surgeon so that they can check and rule out possible hematoma. Thank you and best of luck. 

It is normal to have bruising and swelling during the first couple weeks after an otoplasty.  The blisters will go away.  They are likely from the bandage and will heal.  The suture that you see looks like a dissolvable suture.  I would advise your to return to your plastic surgeon to have her/him fully evaluate the ear and trim the suture.  Good luck healing!

You should contact your plastic surgeon and ask to be reviewed. A photograph is not sufficient to make a confident diagnosis. Although ears do bruise easily blistering is less common and it is possible that there is  a haematoma (build up of blood under the skin). A haematoma may need to be removed and so it would be advisable to see your PS of a member of their team.Best wishes
