If I dissolve my lip filler, will it go back to what it was before? When can I reinject fillers? (Photo)

Ive had 6 sessions of lip fillers over period of 3 years.but since my last 2 sessions my lower lip dosent look right,abd the filler is shown around my lower lips.I was wondering if i desolve the filler,will my lips go back to what it was 3 years ago?and how long do i need to wait to reinject fillers.tanxxx

Hello,Thank you for your question. The doctor who is treating you will determine how much they will shrink. That does not mean they have to dissolve all of the filler. It can be done a little at a time. While fillers can be injected soon after it may be a good idea to wait a week or two so that you can see how your lips look without any swelling. This will guarantee that you get the best results. Thank you for this question.You have a lot of filler material in your lips and to dissolve, you may need more than one session. However, perhaps you can re-evaluate the reduction on the filler volume after the first set of injections to dissolve. Be sure you see an expert an injections.Good luck.

If you were injected with Hyaluronic based fillers you certainly can get the fillers dissolved. I would wait a week or so before having your lips reinfected. your lip should go back to looking like how it looked before your injection.

Yes, your lips will go back to normal once the filler has been dissolved. It can take a series of treatments. It can take 1-2 weeks for swelling to resolve after hyaluronidase and then you can have another round of filler. Best, Dr. Emer

Certain fillers, such as Juvederm, are Hyaluronic Acid and can easily be dissolved using Hyaluronidase. First, you need to verify which product the physician that treated you used. Then you should seek out a Board Certified Dermatologist with experience using fillers to treat you. I would recommend that you wait about two weeks after using the Hyaluronidase before injecting with filler again.
