If I dissolve my lip filler, will it go back to what it was before? When can I reinject fillers? (Photo)

Hello,Thank you for your question. The doctor who is treating you will determine how much they will shrink. That does not mean they have to dissolve all of the filler. It can be done a little at a time. While fillers can be injected soon after it may be a good idea to wait a week or two so that you can see how your lips look without any swelling. This will guarantee that you get the best results. Thank you for this question.You have a lot of filler material in your lips and to dissolve, you may need more than one session. However, perhaps you can re-evaluate the reduction on the filler volume after the first set of injections to dissolve. Be sure you see an expert an injections.Good luck.

Yes, your lips will go back to normal once the filler has been dissolved. It can take a series of treatments. It can take 1-2 weeks for swelling to resolve after hyaluronidase and then you can have another round of filler. Best, Dr. Emer

If you were injected with Hyaluronic based fillers you certainly can get the fillers dissolved. I would wait a week or so before having your lips reinfected. your lip should go back to looking like how it looked before your injection. 

Certain fillers, such as Juvederm, are Hyaluronic Acid and can easily be dissolved using Hyaluronidase. First, you need to verify which product the physician that treated you used. Then you should seek out a Board Certified Dermatologist with experience using fillers to treat you. I would recommend that you wait about two weeks after using the Hyaluronidase before injecting with filler again. 

Assuming that you have had fillers based on hyaluronic acid, then the use of hyaluronidase to dissolve such fillers, shall work; however, you 'may' require multiple episodes of dissolving treatment, particularly if the physician is gingerly with the amount of enzyme used to effect this.  You should massage your lips immediately after having the injections (to encourage the breakdown) and do be aware that the area shall be swollen afterwards. 
As to when you may have more filler injected, I'd suggest that you wait at least 5-7 days, but ideally two weeks to let everything settle down.  Also, when you next get your lips injected, make a note of what product (i.e. name of filler) is used. 

The answer to your question is that it depends on what type of filler was used. Hyaluronic acid based filler will be dissolved, but exactly how much of it will be dissolved with a single injection is more unpredictable than say adding filler. It is easier to add then it is to take away, so you will have to be patient. You should be OK t have more filler once the swelling goes away - usually 7-10 days. Hope this helps!dr. silver

Dermal fillers can be dissolved delicately and carefully. Although the pattern and extent to which the filler dissolves is not always predictable, doing it in stages will help you to reach a point where the lip feels and looks smoother without necessarily removing all the filler. I would then wait at least 2 weeks before adding additional volume. All the best with your treatment. 

Hi hanieh1364, Dissolving with hyaluronidase should not be rushed so it may take a couple of treatments. Slow but sure. After the swelling and the action of hyaluronidase subsides, filler can be injected again. All the best, Justin Harper, M.D.
