The only way to be sure is to schedule a consult. If his nose is broken, it is often possible to straighten it in the office without surgery during the first 10-14 days following the injury.  If the nose has just been recently broken, it's best to seek consultation by a rhinoplasty surgeon to evaluate the damage to the internal and external cartilages and nasal bones.
