Hello, There is a chance that I will be having two moles removed on my face next week and I was just wondering if the reappearance of moles after having them removed via a shave procedure is high? Regards

This decision is best left between you and your surgeon- make sure to call the office and ask his/her preference. In general I tell my patients to wait 48 hours before allowing the incision to get wet after a mole removal. This decision can vary widely.
It is always...
The majority of all skin lesions are benign especially if you have had them since childhood. But any mole that changes in size, texture or color should ABSOLUTELY be removed to rule out cancer. Consult a surgeon this week. Good luck and take care.
The fact that you have had this pigmented area on you vagina for so long suggests it likely is benign, but I recommend you have it evaluated by your gynecologist or a general surgeon and consider biopsy to definitively rule out a cancer or precancer. Good luck and take care.
