I know it's too early to judge now but I am very concerned about my bumps on the lips. It's day two today but the bruises are getting bigger and in the places where I haven't been injected. Will those bumps go away it's very bad and noticeable. You can see in the photo when I smile it's horrible. Please help
Answer: Bumps in lips after Juvederm I know it is easier to say than do when you have such noticeable changes after a procedure, but try to be patient. Most, if not all of this will resolve with a little time, and if not, a little hyaluronidase will do the trick.I have found that knowing the anatomy of the vessels in the lip and injecting small amounts, and adding more later if necessary, avoids these problems and my patients feel that most people cannot tell they have just had a procedure.

CONTACT NOW Answer: Bumps after lip filler- do they go away Lip filler bumps is fairly common after filler. The bumps can occur early on and many settle down. Although massage after filler is considered a mainstay, beware that massage can drive the filler into another location if done too early. Reasons for bumps after filler: Technique- Filler may have been used too superficially or wrong type of filler Mouth movements- In some patients their movements can promote the accumulation of bumps and an alternative technique can be advocated. Treating lip filler bumps: Observation +/- massage- Should be done for almost all lip filler bumps for 2 weeks. For our patients we usually advocated massage after 48-72 hours to let the filler settle into place. Reversal- A reversal agent can be used such as Vitrase to dissolve the filler if there is a large obvious persistent bump Additional filler- An expert filler injector can used improved technique to mask the lip bumps. The application of lip filler is very technical and should be done by an expert injector.

Answer: Bruising and swelling are a common side effect of lip injections. Bruising and swelling are a common side effect of lip injections. Swelling can last up to 2 weeks. If you are still concerned with any bumps at that time seek a follow up appointment with your injector to be assessed. Applying cold compresses 10 mins on and 10 mins off, applying traumeel cream to the bruise post treatment and sleeping with your head slightly elevated will assist in decreasing swelling and bruising symptoms. Hope this helps.

Answer: Bumps after Juvederm Most swelling resolves in about three to five days, but it can last up to two weeks. Bruising will also go away in this time. I would refrain from touching the area and wait for two weeks to pass before seeing your injector again. If you are very concerned about the bumps, it's probably a better idea to see your injector though.

Answer: Bumps after filler Sometimes it can take 1-2 weeks for bumps, swelling, and bruising to resolve completely after filler. If after 2 weeks you are not satisfied, I would suggest to see your provider for further evaluation. Good Luck.
