However I have a strange issue in that my brows look constantly furrowed. It looks like I am frowning all the time, but I am unable to relax my brows. There are no wrinkles there so the last doctor I spoke to was reluctant to give Botox. You can see how it looks in the attached photos. Please note I am NOT frowning in these photos, this is how they always look. Thanks in advance.

Answer: Botox for glabellar furrows Hello- yes you are a perfect candidate for Botox (or any of the other botulinum toxins) to the area between your eyebrows to reduce the contraction of your glabellar muscles. It appears you have a genetic configuration of a low brow position and strong glabellar muscles that are causing furrows- Botox can soften these furrows and elevate the brows. Botox is not permanent and very low risk and so undergoing a treatment just to “try it out” is very reasonable. Good luck!

Answer: Frowning lines despite not frowning We often develop wrinkles due to subconscious movements, not just from frowning, but also from squinting (another reason to wear sunglasses or proper prescription glasses), or thinking. Botox is still the best treatment for dynamic/movement wrinkles such as in your case. Best to see a highly trained and experienced physician injector such as a dermatologist for optimal results and safety.
