Hi, I'm having a breast augmentation in 6 days time, I know it's no fake tan 7 days before but I lighten my body hair using a bleach, will this affect me having surgery? Thanks

Caustic materials such as hair bleach can remove the oils that protect the skin and cause a local injury that will increase your risk of infection. I would not bleach your body hair in the area of the operation.

In general this should not affect your surgery unless your skin becomes sensitive afterwards. If so, make sure you do this with enough time for your skin to recover before your surgery date.

I would suggest not bleaching any hair near your breasts, but check with your surgeon for his/her preference.
