Sorry took the attached pic after a haircut. But I feel like I'm balding ? I'm male 23 and only see this bald patch on the left side of my hair. Is it too early to begin finasteride? Thanks

It’s safe to begin finasteride at age 23.  It appears to be very early Norwood 2 hair loss and finasteride would slow further progress

There is no way to tell for sure from a single picture if you have genetic hair loss. Genetic hair loss is progressive and is best assessed over time. Having said that, the slight recession seen in this picture would be typical of early male pattern genetic hair loss.
Finasteride could be a good option for you. Most people respond well to it with slowing or stopping of their hair loss. Generally speaking this is a cost-effective, easy to do treatment. There is a small chance of side effects, so you should discuss these with your doctor. Other options for early hair loss include minoxidil, PRP, and laser therapy, each with their own pros and cons.

Dear young concerned patient:
I would suggest first to have a medical evaluation with your doctor, once all is ok, I would suggest getting 2-3 treatment of PRP plus daily use of hair vitamin.
you will get a much better result than using Finasteride.

You might be balding or you might just have hairline maturation. One would need to properly examine the area so be sure to see your dermatologist.
